Space Shuttle Discovery Flys One Last Time
On the back of a 747 carrier, the Space Shuttle Discovery takes one last flight before arriving at its new home at the Smithsonian National Air and Space Museum Steven F. Udvar-Hazy Center in Chantilly, VA. The flight path had the Shuttle circle the mall in Washington, D.C. three times before landing at Dulles Airport just outside of the city.
Urban Exploration Expedition 1 – Glenn Dale Hospital
The Glenn Dale Hospital is a sprawling abandoned complex that sits on 216 acres of Maryland’s Prince Georges County. It was originally built as a tuberculosis hospital with two main buildings––one for adults and one for children––plus many smaller outlying facilities. After tuberculosis epidemics were largely curbed, the complex remained in operation as a general hospital as well as a →

Amazing graffiti outside of Brooklyn Bowl in Brooklyn, NY.
Chicago 2012
Everyone takes a picture of like this of the Cloud Gate when visiting Millennium Park in Chicago but it's still cool none the less. My first trip to Chicago was good fun with great company! Now I'll just have to come back when the weather is a bit nicer.
Hillbilly Haven
Just a photo from my trip to Hillbilly Haven, West Virginia.
2011 Fantasy Football Champion!
That's right, another championship in the books! Now only if my Redskins can match my fake football success.
Opening Day at the Wizards Game
With the NBA lockout lifted, I couldn't wait to get some basketball back in my life. My buddy Roof came into town and we got to witness his Nets face off against my Wizards on opening day, the day after christmas! The Wiz blew a 21 point lead but I still was just happy to see them on the court.
Redskins vs. Jets/Adam & Roof’s Birthday Weekend!
Alex "Roof" Young, founder of LolaSportsTalk.com, my friend, and fellow Dec. 2nd Birthday baby (Aaron Rodgers also shares our B-Day... and so does Britney Spears...), came up to DC to see his Jets take on my Redskins. All came together on this joyous of weekends... except a Redskins win... and somehow I think Roof was ok with it. Roof posted →
A Capital Ordeal
So it's the week of Thanksgiving 2011 and my boy Josh is in town for his annual "back to Maryland trip" and we decide to head down to DC and catch a Capitals game. Of course, running on Josh time, we end up getting there late and had to scramble to find tickets, which we eventually did find around the →

My First Deer is a Trophy Buck!
After putting my time in on about a dozen hunts spanning 2010 and 2011 I finally got my first deer, a trophy buck! Saturday afternoon Mike Malloy and I headed out into the woods during a rain/snow storm and found some fingers of woods where a big buck was rumored to wander. After about a 1 and a half hour, →
The Week 6 Redskins Eagles Game
After last year’s beat down by the Philadelphia Eagles, I was hoping that the Washington Redskins, coming off a bye week, would be ready to avenge their loss…I was mistaken. My photo essay from the game is posted on Lola Sports Talk, check it out here.
A Space Shuttle Retrospective Great Hall Exhibit
I recently installed a new great hall exhibit at NASA Headquarters highlighting the 30 year Space Shuttle program which ended this year. I will also be designing a book and iPad app highlighting each of the 135 missions. Updates on that will come soon. Check out all my pictures of the great hall below.
Ravens vs. Jets at M&T Bank Stadium

The Inaugural Baltimore Grand Prix
Months of preparation went into pulling off this transformation of downtown Baltimore, including repaving roads to the more recent building of the track fences and walls, to prepare for the Inaugural Baltimore Grand Prix. I complied a photo essay for Lola Sports Talk which you can check out here.
Melo League vs. Goodman League at Morgan State
Last night I was treated to an All-Star cast of locked out NBA players (Carmelo Anthony, LeBron James, Chris Paul, Kevin Durant, and more!) at a glorified pickup game held at Morgan State University in Baltimore, MD. I covered the game and wrote an article about it on LolaSportsTalk.com, a sports news site I will be contributing for which is →

There’s no MSG in our Chinatown! Caps Defeat Rangers in Game 5 to Take Series!
On Saturday afternoon my brother, Alex, got us tickets to see the caps win their first round series against the New York Rangers at Verizon Center in the District. It was a hell of a game by goalie Neuvirth and we also got goals by Ovechkin, Green, and Semin to win 3-1. C-A-P-S Caps Caps Caps! One step closer →
Spanish Fly Mexican Beach Club
At the beginning of April I launched the website for Spanish Fly Mexican Beach Club in Scottsdale, AZ. The new property in Old Town looks amazing... only wish I was still on the west coast so I could make an appearance. I was the project lead for this site with the development coming from my colleague Patrick Rafferty. →
Fantasy Basketball Champions!
In my rookie year, my fantasy basketball team, Shawn Kemp's Kids, wins the championship and the winner take all jackpot! I also have to say I probably have the worst looking lineup of any champ ever... but just goes to show you working the waiver wire can pay dividends. Also, note that I rode most the year with Steve →
